ジョエル・トュルリンクス(Joelle Tuerlinckx 1958年 - )ベルギー・ブリュッセル出身の芸術家。マルチメディアやアッサンブラージュで知られている。ファウンド・オブジェ、映像、ドローイングなどを使用したインスタレーション作品も制作。様々な素材やメディアを合わせ、層を形成していく作品は、様々な側面が織りなす相互作用がもたらす影響と意義を感じることができる。
ブリュッセルのERG(École de Recherche Graphique)で学び、教鞭を執った。2018年には、Hasselt Universityの建築と芸術学部から名誉博士号を授与された。作品は、世界の主要な美術館や個人コレクションに収蔵されている。

本書は、もとよりフランス・アヴェロンという小さな街にある記念碑的な作品「La Triangulaire de Cransac」と関連付けて制作されていましたが、同時に、美術館と芸術家そして本との関係における美術館の進化も考察しています。彼女は、美術館がその内部構造において本に例えられるならば、本もまたその体系性と対象を考察する手法において美術館に例えられると指摘します。
この本は、アーティストブックとして1000部のみ刊行されました。スタジオのアーカイブを巡り、M.M.コレクションの目録(タイトル：Musee de la Memoire (Memory of Museum))に至るまでの、思考の過程を私たちに視覚化してくれます。目録という偉大な古典を基に、「J.Tの作品全て」を網羅しながら、彼女は、「a museum in itself」(それ自体が美術館)を提示しています。

デザインと印刷は、グラフィックデザイナーAdriaan Van Leuvenと共同制作。Valérie Cudel(Captures éditions, France)とBruno Devos(HOPPER&FUCHS, Belgium)による出版。
